Many children and adults dream of flying, unfortunately nature did not give us this remarkable ability. Not to worry! Hang-gliding literally lets you fly like a bird! This tranquil, calm flight will make those flying dreams a reality. Come and soar as high as 2000 feet with the guidance of a certified instructor. Your instructor will also take care of all the flying and technicalities so you can take in the surrounding sights and experience this sensation even more! Also, if conditions are right you'll be given a chance at the controls!
This tandem hang gliding discovery flight allows you to experience the feeling and freedom of flight by the side of a certified professional. The glider is launched from a flat field upon special wheels - no running required ;). Here, you and your pilot will be towed up with a hydraulic winch until you are up to altitude where the tow line is released and you are both free to soar the open sky. When it is time to land your instructor will bring you both in safely for a gentle touch down on the wheels.
To help put things in height perspective you'll reach heights that surpass that of the CN Tower! Now that will be a story to tell your friends! There is nothing more sensational than flying over glimmering Lakes speckled with small islands and surrounded by lush forests. As you hang glide you will revel how the shoreline changes from sand to rock and at the sight of Canadian Geese soaring past you in the distance. While gliding over the Muskoka Lakes you may just hear the magnificent Loon make its call or perhaps catch a glimpse of a King Fisher emerging from the dense forest to catch its last meal before the sun sets. All in all you and your instructor will gently soar while the setting sun leaves a colourful impression on the lakes below allowing you to literally leave all worries behind.
Your adventure begins when you meet your flight crew and instructor at the docks of a beautiful Muskoka Lake. Here you will be given a hang gliding briefing and a little introduction to the hang gliding sport. Before you know it you'll hear the boat engine start and you'll be on your way toward the launch site. Here the instructor will help you to put on your body harness, helmet and securely hook you to your new "wings". Shortly after, you will soon feel your feet leave the boat as you and your instructor gently lift off into the air, seeing the boat get smaller and smaller.
A height of up to 2000 feet can be reached depending on how many thermals are present but either way you'll gently glide above magnificent views...definitely a flight to remember!
This trip is provided by the same great Hang-gliding instructors that take you up and above at the Pickering location, so you can rest assured of their knowledge, experience and great attitude. There are 3 different locations for this trip all within the Muskoka area, all present spectacular views.

Our Aerial Adventures are designed for people who want to live out their childhood dream of flying. We currently offer three types of upward bound trips. One is a hang-gliding journey that will allow you to soar high above and experience the sensation of flight similar to that of a bird from a location that is only minutes away from Ontario's Capital (Toronto). Our second trip offers you a chance to explore the gorgeous Muskoka Lakes region and cottage country with the help and guidance of a certified instructor by hang-glider! Our third adventure, one of which many have been patiently waiting for, is the serene and peaceful flight that can only come from standing in the safe and stable gondola of a hot air balloon. This is possible by mounting a special camera onto the glider's wing allowing us to take your picture as you soar above the clouds! If you are coming up with a friend, we can use half the roll for your flight and other half for your friend, so that the cost is only $16.25 for awesome memories captured on film!
The DELUXE upgrade is available for those who wish to take the experience even further. The deluxe means we'll spend more time on tow and do what we can to extend the flight. The result is a higher and longer flight. This option should be requested at time of booking as it is not always possible to upgrade due to time constraints.
Upon registering for your trip we will send you a detailed list of items you should bring with you, as well as a map and directions to your trip location.
This trip runs out of Pickering, Ontario approximately 20 minutes outside of Toronto. Please note this is a weather sensitive sport and thus weather conditions may prevent you from going on the first day of choice, so flexibility and your co-operation is greatly appreciated. After your flight you can dine at a variety of nearby restaurants or go to the local farm for some fresh organic veggies and fruit (or perhaps a home baked pastry)!

Learn to Hang Glide: The 'LOW & SLOW' Hang Gliding Lesson
If your goal or intention is to try hang gliding once, then a Tandem flight is the way to go (see above). If, on the other hand you'd like to learn how to control your hang glider and think this adventure sport may just become your next big hobby then this lesson is for you! The price is the same and it takes 2-4 hours instead of just 30 minutes. It is also done solo on a large glider close to the ground. If you wish to do a tandem after this lesson than it's half price. This is a introductory session where you basically follow the foot steps of the Wright Brothers in the quest to learn how to fly, except this time you'll have some help and we'll have you flying inches off the ground in no time! If you decide that you'd like to continue with your lessons, the next step is the Beginners Course. Since the 'Low and Slow' session is the start of the course we will deduct the full cost of your 'low and slow' session from your Beginners Course fee of $895 plus gst.
We are offering this for the first time this year because; while everyone loves their tandem flight, it's such a huge step for a non pilot that they don't understand they could do it themselves. The Low and Slow not only proves you are capable because you're flying; it also is very exciting in it's own way. Richard Bach wrote "One's enjoyment of the air is in inverse proportion to the speed and height one flies over the ground." If you've thought about flying allot, try a Low and Slow, you'll love it.
Included: Helmet, harness, 2-4 hours of guided instruction by a HPAC pilot, use of hang glider and our facilities.
